2. Estimates and Pricing
- All estimates are free and provided in writing (email, text, or paper).
- Estimates are based on information available at the time (condition of surfaces, access, colors, products, etc.).
- If we discover additional work or issues (e.g., damage, rot, repairs) that affect price or scope, we will notify you and provide an updated estimate for approval before proceeding.
- Unless otherwise stated, estimates are valid for 30 days.
3. Scope of Work
- Your written estimate or work order will describe what is included (areas, surfaces, number of coats, prep, repairs, products).
- Any items not listed are not included in the price.
- Changes or additions requested after work begins may require a written change order and may increase the final price.
4. Scheduling and Access
- We will provide an estimated start date and duration for your project. These may change due to weather, material availability, or other factors.
- You agree to provide reasonable access to the property, including parking, entry, and access to water and electricity as needed.
- For exterior work, you agree to secure pets and remove or protect personal items (furniture, decorations, vehicles, etc.) that may be affected.
5. Deposits and Payment
- We may require a deposit before scheduling or starting work. Any required deposit will be stated on your estimate or invoice.
- Unless otherwise stated, payment is due upon substantial completion of the work.
- We accept the payment methods listed on your invoice (for example: cash, check, and/or electronic payment).
- Late payments may be subject to reasonable late fees and collection costs as allowed by law.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as soon as possible.
- We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee for last‑minute cancellations or rescheduling (typically less than 24–48 hours) if costs have already been incurred (materials purchased, crew scheduled, etc.).
- We may reschedule work due to weather, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control.
7. Preparation and Protection of Property
- We will take reasonable steps to protect your property, including covering floors, furniture, and nearby items as appropriate for the work being performed.
- You are responsible for removing or safely storing fragile, valuable, or personal items (art, décor, electronics, etc.) from work areas before we begin.
- We are not responsible for damage to items left in the work area that we were not aware of or could not reasonably protect.
8. Materials and Products
- Unless otherwise specified, we will supply all paints, primers, and standard materials needed to complete the job.
- If you request specific products or brands, this will be noted on your estimate and may affect the price.
- Color selection is the responsibility of the client. We recommend testing sample colors before final approval. We are not responsible if you are unhappy with a color you approved.
9. Workmanship and Warranty
- We stand behind our workmanship. If you notice any issues related to our work within a reasonable period after completion (for example, 12 months), please contact us.
- Our warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, leaks, structural issues, pet damage, or acts of nature.
- Normal wear and tear or color fading over time.
- Issues caused by existing conditions we did not create (e.g., prior coating failures, moisture problems, structural cracks).
- Any warranty details, including length and coverage, may be specified on your estimate or invoice and will take precedence over this general description.
10. Photos and Marketing
- With your permission, we may take before-and-after photos of our work.
- Photos will not include identifying personal information (such as faces, license plates, or house numbers) where reasonably possible.
- We may use these photos for marketing purposes (website, social media, print materials), unless you ask us in writing not to.
11. Safety and Compliance
- We follow reasonable safety practices and comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to our work.
- You agree to inform us of any known hazards at the property (e.g., pets, alarm systems, electrical issues, mold, lead-based paint in older homes, etc.).
12. Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising out of our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the work giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (such as loss of use, loss of rental income, or loss of profits) arising from our work.
13. Third‑Party Services
- At times, we may recommend or coordinate with other trades (e.g., cleaners, electricians, other contractors).
- Unless explicitly stated in writing, these third parties are independent of Destin Home Pros, and we are not responsible for their work, actions, or omissions.
